ASHLEY N. MINTER, MPA

An experienced strategic communications and public relations professional in digital, verbal, and written communications, social media strategy, project management, media relations, and content design. Ashley is a highly motivated and proactive communications professional, with a passion for delivering high-value communications strategies and deliverables to drive storytelling internally and externally. Her experience in local government and nonprofit organizations enables her to work with an array of clients, professionals, partners, stakeholders and agencies. 

Ashley is the owner and CEO of Ashley Nicole Communications, LLC, a boutique public relations firm that specializes in social media management, brand development, project management and special events. Her desire is to help small businesses and individual brands meet their target audience "where they are" through branded communications and public relations strategies. She is currently the brand manager for Vintage Green, LLC. This includes creating and managing social media, creating digital and print marketing assets and media relations. 

In addition to her work as CEO of Ashley Nicole Communications, LLC, Ashley is the Communications Manager for Phalen Leadership Academies (PLA). Her efforts work to foster community involvement, media partnerships and to share the impact that PLA and its partner schools have on the lives of our country’s youth. Ashley's story telling work culminates in the form of monthly external and internal newsletters, press releases, social media posts and communications campaigns that share PLA’s work in educating and empowering scholars from under-served communities.

Before working with PLA, Ashley served as the Communications & Programs Administrator for the National Black Arts (NBAF). Within a year, she helped to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy, including messaging, branding material development, and media relations in order to elevate the organization's brand identity. Since execution of the new strategy and brand, social media engagements have increased by 90%, including likes, views, shares and comments. 

As the Public Relations Specialist for the City of South Fulton, Ashley was responsible for the execution of marketing/communications plans and projects designed to enhance transparency, connection, and awareness of City projects and initiatives. She assisted the Director in coordinating the November 2018 Elections Communications Strategic Plan in collaboration with other City departments. Those efforts helped lead to the passing of seven ballot items that affect the City’s ability to expand and retain business and residential property. Prior to the arrival of the Communications Director, Ashley led the Communications Department's initiatives and executed the FY19 Budget Priority Strategic Plan under the guidance of the City Manager.

Ashley also managed and maintained the City’s website and social media for every internal department by creating content and updating information in collaboration with department directors. She served as the City's PIO and communicated with on-air and print media liaisons regarding City news and updates. 

As the Operations Coordinator for the City of Union City, Ashley oversaw public relations, communications, event management and operational projects. She managed the City’s Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts by creating marketing campaigns used to interact and communicate with residents and visitors. While there, she assisted the City Manager in implementing a branding strategy for the City and managed its day-to-day efforts. She also worked with all department directors to create vital messaging that was easy to understand and relay to the community stakeholders.
